A Salt Spray Test Chamber is a device for corrosion testing. It's mainly composed of a chamber body, a salt solution system, an atomization system, a heating and temperature - control system, a sample support system, and an exhaust and condensation system.
The chamber body is usually made of corrosion - resistant materials. The salt solution, typically a 5% NaCl solution, is stored and pumped to the atomizer. The atomizer turns it into a fine mist sprayed into the chamber. The heating system keeps the temperature around 35 - 37°C. Samples are placed at an angle on the support. The exhaust and condensation systems maintain the environment and prevent water from affecting samples.
